Participate in the city of Antwerp’s innovation programme and stay future-proof

As an entrepreneur in the Antwerp diamond- or jewellery industry, you want to stay future-proof. Therefore, do you want to think ahead and renew your current business activities? Or are you looking for help with your business strategy, the launch of a product, reaching the right target group or anything in between?

The city of Antwerp stimulates this innovation movement. In 2024, the city is again offering one-on-one innovation tracks where you will be guided by experts in automation, digitalization, data analysis, sustainability or marketing.

Do you want to get started in January 2024? Fill out this questionnaire. We expect your answers by October 31, 2023.

The city will select projects by the end of this year. After approval of your participation and depending on the project you want to work on, you will

SBD appoints new Chairman of the Board

SBD’s Board of Directors has appointed Dave Oste as chairman of the Board of Directors. Paul Van der Steen and Wim Ruythooren are vice-chairmen. Eva Van Looveren and Bart De Hantsetters are treasurers.

Derogation requests: holidays, public holidays and rest days NJC324 (reminder)

On the SBD website you can find the holidays, public holidays and restdays of 2024, approved by the NJC324 for the diamond industry and trade.

If you are interested in an exception, you can submit a derogation request (addressed to the President of the NJC324). The deadline is 31 December 2023.

SBD can provide members with a model letter.
