We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our members, Hiren Shah, as he commemorates 25 years in the Antwerp diamond industry. With a career spanning a quarter-century in Antwerp, Hiren Shah has amassed extensive experience in the buying, selling, and marketing of both rough and polished diamonds.
Hiren was born into a family with deep roots in the diamond industry in Surat, India. In 1998 he moved from the vibrant streets of Surat to the prestigious city of Antwerp. “My professional endeavors have taken me across the world, from Botswana to Dubai, Israel to India, enriching my understanding of the global diamond market. However, it was Antwerp that captured my heart, becoming not only my professional hub but also my home,” states Hiren. Hiren lives in Antwerp with his wife and three daughters.

Beginning as a salesman, Hiren's trajectory led him to establish himself as a specialist diamond broker, leveraging his expertise to assist clients in navigating the intricate world of diamond trade. “The core objective of my business is to source diamonds at the best possible prices for my customers. In my opinion, the bustling city of Antwerp is the best location for this business activity,” says Hiren. “My expertise is not just in the valuation and trade of these precious stones but also in building lasting relationships within the industry.”
Beyond his professional achievements, Hiren is committed to giving back to the community. As a member of the General Assembly of SBD and an active participant in the Young Diamantaires, he demonstrates his commitment to the diamond sector.
